Did you know there was a commercial olive plantation in Altadena? Are your olive trees from that original plantation? Come and be inspired to use the fruits of our olive trees in Altadena.

• Stephen King will introduce you to the history of the olive plantation.
• Joe Brosius, of our local wholesale nursery, Magic Growers, will talk about the growth and care of olive trees.
• We will share how to brine and preserve olives.
• Joya Salas, former Altadena resident and grounds manager at Scripps College in Claremont, will share her experience conducting a communal olive pick and pressing for oil.
