Altadena Heritage holds two events each year for the residents of Monte Cedro.
On November 30 we held a well-attended, engaging presentation at the senior living community.
Mary Landau, Altadena Heritage member and historian for the Christmas Tree Lane Association, gave a fascinating talk on the history of Altadena’s Christmas Tree Lane, from its days hosting uphill car races in the early 1900’s to current celebrations of lighting the Deodar trees each Christmas.
Mary showed many wonderful photos from the collections of the Altadena Historical Society and Altadena and Pasadena Libraries.
The Monte Cedro residents (and all of you) are encouraged to join Mary at this year’s lighting ceremony which will be held on December 10th at 6pm.
