Join us for a special screening of Owen Brown’s Body, by The Owen Brown Gravesite Committee + filmmaker and Altadenan Pablo D. Miralles.
Owen Brown-abolitionist and son of John Brownescaped the South via the Underground Railroad and ultimately settled in Altadena, where he and his brother Jason homesteaded land on Brown Mountain. Owen is buried on the mountain.
The program continues with a Q&A session featuring filmmaker Pablo D. Miralles and historian Michele Zack, who will engage with the audience and delve deeper into this fascinating history.
