Altadena Heritage presents a program on the beneficial use of downed trees in Altadena and surrounding areas. Discussion topics include lumber jacking of urban logs, lumber production, samples of typical wood types, and interesting products such as custom furniture, pens, and musical instruments. The guest speakers are urban lumberjack Rich Benson, instrument builder Robert Hilton, pen maker Bill Peplow, and furniture maker William Stranger.
