For the third year in a row, forty trees were given away to Altadenans eager to beautify their properties, help clean the air, and keep our neighborhoods cooler.

The Tree Committee, including expert Kathy Musial, selected the trees for suitability to our geographical area, low water needs once established and overall drought resistance.

The organizational and logistical expertise of Anne Chomyn, Michele Zack and Val Zavala enabled a fun and flawless distribution of trees on Altadena Tree Day   a 2022 designation by Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger.

Special thanks to Martin Kelley of Yerba Buena Design Company who procured the trees and stakes. We are also grateful to Southern California Edison for helping to fund this project.
