It is always unfortunate when trees are lost – uprooted by wind or fire safety clearance or any number of reasons why they have to be removed. This program will discuss possibilities for what you can do with that fallen tree other than grinding it into waste for the landfill.

Three presenters will speak to these possibilities.

Rich Benson salvages local fallen trees for small woodworking projects.
William Strange makes high end furniture, often with salvaged wood.
Jeff Perry is head of Angel City Lumber, a wood salvaging business in Los Angles.
