Neighborhood Preservation
Historic District in Altadena
A County Regional Planning hearing on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 will be held to consider recommending that the Board of Supervisors designate an Altadena neighborhood as a County Historic District.
This designation for the Historic Highlands area in south-west Altadena is intended to protect the lovely neighborhood from incompatible development. This protection is already provided in Pasadena’s adjacent Historic Highlands. If passed by the Supervisors, this will be the first such district established since the County’s Historic Preservation Ordinance was passed in 2015.
