I authorize Altadena Heritage to print and/or publish the attached entry and the full name of my child should it be selected to appear in the Student Art Contest on May 3rd 2025, at the annual Golden Poppy Awards Presentation, Student Art Contest, and Garden Party. I understand that digital entries will be used for contest purposes and deleted upon contest conclusion.

The Contest shall be subject to these Official Rules, and on entering, all participants agree to be bound by the terms and conditions herein.

After obtaining your parent’s or guardian’s permission, complete the Official Contest Entry Form which can be found online at this web address: https://www.aaaim.com/contest.htm.
Winner Selection: On or about April 25th 2025, judges will select prizewinners. Entrants agree that all decisions made by judges relating to any and all issues concerning this Contest are final and binding. Submissions that best interpret the theme, “Altadena In Motion,” will be selected as winners. Examples include motion in the natural world, the built environment, and of people, animals, and things. The use of visual techniques to create the illusion of movement in a work of art is encouraged.

Winner Notification: On or about April 26th 2025, we will attempt to notify potential winners. If potential winners cannot be contacted or do not respond within 72 hours of the first contact attempt, or if they do not fulfill the eligibility requirements, or do not adhere to the Official Rules, they may be disqualified, and new ones selected.

Student Prizes: First Place $300 Cash/Gift Cards, Second Place $150 Cash/Gift Cards, Third Place $75 Cash/Gift Cards will be awarded from all entries. Student winners will also receive 2 tickets to attend the Event and Prize Presentation on May 3rd 2025 at 1PM.

Teacher Prizes: First Place $100 Cash/Gift Cards, Second Place $50 Cash/Gift Cards, Third Place $25 Cash/Gift Cards to teachers of winning students . Winning teachers will also receive 2 tickets to attend the Event and Prize Presentation on May 3rd 2025 at 1PM.

Winners are responsible for all taxes on prizes.

Other Conditions of Entry: Each entrant represents and warrants that this is their own original creation, has not been copied and does not violate the rights of any other person or company. Entries that do not comply with these Official Rules shall be disqualified. Entrants and their parents agree to indemnify, defend and hold Altadena Heritage harmless against any and all liabilities arising out of or related to a breach of the foregoing representations and warranties.
Responsibility Release: By entering, contestants agree to release, waive, and hold harmless Altadena Heritage and co-sponsors from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, and liability arising as a result of the contestant’s participation in this Contest and/or their acceptance, use or misuse of prizes.

Publicity: By entering this Contest, entrants and their parents agree to allow use of the entrant’s name and any information provided on the Entry Form for promotional or other purposes.
